思い出浸り -Reminisce about the Philippines- 1

4月から9月までの半年間、本当に充実していました。勉強、遊び、スポーツを楽しむことができました。
まず勉強面から。毎月の最終金曜日にはレベルテストが行われ、TOEIC、スピーキング、ライティングのテストを受けました。自分がどれだけ成長しているか確認するためのツールになります。はっきり言って劇的に変わった気はしませんが、それでも毎月毎月、徐々に英語力が上がっていることが確認できました。もともとが酷かっただけに、本当に行って良かったです。また、このレベルテストの後、毎回表彰式が行われます。それぞれのテストで優秀な成績を修めた生徒、また先生も表彰されます。自分は特にライティングに力を入れていたので、表彰されたときには本当に嬉しかったです。ライティングの先生も一緒に喜んでくれました。
遊び。他の生徒ほど他の島に行ったり、旅行したりとあまりしませんでしたが、住んでいる近場での楽しみ方を知っているのは、自分が一番だったと思っています。特に、滞在していたフィリピンのイロイロ市はキリスト教の教会とバスケットボールコートがたくさんあります。綺麗な協会を訪問して、バスケットボールをフィリピン人と楽しみ、帰りにボディマッサージに寄って帰宅、という週末を過ごすことが多かった気がします。勿論、夜は毎週のように友だちと飲みに行くことも多かったです。
時には、学校の友だちと現地の生活を見るために適当に歩き回り、フィリピン人と話して写真を撮るだけのホノボノした週末を過ごすこともありました。いい人ばかりに出逢えて、本当に幸せ者です。

I had been lived a full life in the Philippines while I was stay in there for 5 months. I enjoyed myself about studying, living, and sports with my friends.
First of all, about study... I took a monthly level test which contents of TOEIC, Speaking, and writing every month. I couldn't recognize my English whether improving or not, but thanks to that, I was able to confirm my English skill had been improving gradually. As my English was really terrible before I went to the Philippines, I've never regret to go there. In addition, we held award of monthly level test after took it. Some students who performed superbly in each test got an award. Some teachers also were awarded by vote from students. I was focused on writing class, so when I was awarded for it, I was delighted to get it. My writing teacher also seemed to be quite happy with me.
Second, living and sports... I don't have enough experiences compare to other students to stay other islands like Cebu and Guimaras island. However, I was able to enjoy my free time because I knew how to enjoy Iloilo city. There are many Cristian churches and basketball courts there. I really like watching beautiful structures and playing basketball, so almost all weekends I spent time that I visited to beautiful churches then I played basketball with Filipinos. Sometimes, I got a massage near there after I played basketball and drank alcohol with my friends. It was my routine on my weekends.
Also, I sometimes strolled around the city, talked with local people and took some photos. It was also amusing for me. I was able to encounter many excellent persons. Therefore, I'm a fortunate person.
